The Best Tracks of 2014
We launched International House of Sound almost exactly a year ago and what a pleasure it has been to share with you some of the most phenomenal and monumental electronic gems of the year. We strive to filter out some of the best options for peak hours, pool lounging or driving.
The end of 2014 is finally here and we’ve put a list of the best tracks in no particular order. The list contains 30 of our favorite originals and remixes for you to get lost in. We figure it’s great to find them all in one place. Don’t forget to share them your loved ones. We can all use new music and inspiration from time to time. Catch them after the jump.
Le Youth – “Feel Your Love (Feat. Javeon)”
Le Youth dropped this banger in the heat of summer and it instantly became a dance floor scorcher. Javeon’s vocals couldn’t fit any better than this.
Todd Terje – “Inspector Noise”
Todd Terje delivered one of the best albums this year. This one stuck out: pure feel good.
Flight Facilities – “Two Bodies (Feat. Emma Louise)”
We’ve been waiting for this full length for a few years now. FF introduced it with this emotional masterpiece. The music video is even better.
The Knocks – “Classic (Feat. Powers)”
Disco continues calling the shots. The Knocks have been on a roll since their inception and we’re not mad about it.
BEA – “Safe Ground” We can’t wait to see what 2015 brings for this amazing artist. Pure pop bliss. Just listen.
DJ Dodger Stadium – “Love Songs”
DJ Dodger Stadium showed us a darker side of dance music. Perfectly melancholic.
James Vincent McMorrow – “Cavalier (Branded James & Young Steezie Remix)”
Branded James and Young Steezie turned this haunting track on its head. This is quality.
Moodyman – “Lyk U Used 2”
This is the jam.
Vic Mensa – “Down On My Luck”
Vic Mensa‘s polished house debut made us pay attention. Lots of attention.
Les Sins – Bellow
This one was considerably one of the best tracks on the new album.
Lana Del Rey – “West Coast (MK Remix)”
MK reinvents Lana’s “West Coast” and leaves it almost unrecognizable. What a beat.
Andy Stott – “Violence”
This is one of those tracks that catches your attention without any warning.
Yelle – “Complètement Fou”
Yelle returned this year with her best release yet. We can’t get enough.
Darius – “Romance EP”
This EP dropped early this year and left us completely floored. All five tracks are worth a couple dozen plays in one sitting.
