Hayden James – “Something About You”
Can Future Classic do no wrong?! Apparently not because this second single off their upcoming ‘Teen Idols’ compilation has been blowing up our speakers all day. This second piece of the puzzle comes from Sydney based producer Hayden James. Hayden has been on a steady incline to the top of charts this year and recently finished a tour with ODESZA that brought him over to the U.S where he was met with open arms. “Something About You” comes as an exclusive single for the December 19th compilation release.
To say that this is a banger would be a gross understatement. Hayden wastes no time with an intro and instead jumps right into that eargasmic melody. The vocals are soulful and concise, never over the top, which can pretty much be said about the entire track. It has a certain polish and sophistication that can transcend clubs and move comfortably into a pair of headphones as you get lost in movement around the house. Just when we thought our end-of-the-year best list was done, this piece of deep aural platinum shakes things up for us in the best way possible. We love pleasant surprises like this one. This ‘Teen Idols’ compilation is shaping up to be a great one. Big thanks to the Future Classic family and Hayden James for this gem!
