The Smiths – “How Soon Is Now (Maceo Plex Edit)”
This last week was particular stinging with respect to all the hate and violence being spread across the U.S. Sometimes it gets pretty overwhelming and we are often left with the need to cleanse all the negativity if only for one night. And it doesn’t really get better than sweating out all the frustrations on the dance floor. Maceo Plex has been pretty outspoken about the events of last week and even rallied the community of Charlottesville for a free show to spread the message of unity. On top of that he also shared an edit of The Smiths‘ “How Soon Is Now” citing the lyrics to spread the love:
“No more Violence. Shout “I am human and I need to be loved!” “Just like everybody else does”
And in true Maceo Plex fashion he turns the track into a powerful techno onslaught. Stream it after the jump.
