Du Tonc – “Every Song”
Matt Van Schie is a master of his craft. He has previously released music under his own name, alongside Van She, and now with Du Tonc (a project he started with London based producer Mighty Mouse.) All of them have been outstanding – and non deserving of the title “side project.” For us, Du Tonc has always created a nostalgic feel -a longing for a distant time long ago, a time actually in the present. This track is dipped in disco – for flavor, but holds classic indie band riffs – a medley Schie has long been a teacher of. We would be lying if we told you we hadn’t been obsessed over when he’d drop the next Du Tonc track. But here now and readily available for purchase via Eskimo Recordings.
