ZHU – “Faded (The Remixes)”
ZHU is the faceless music maker that calls both L.A and San Francisco his home bases. His ‘Nightday’ EP dropped back in April and in that time the single “Faded” has been lifted off the EP to be remixed by a slew of talented producers. First up is The Magician who has switched out his sun-kissed glow for a nasty good nighttime rendition of the track. That grimy yet addictive bassline sends chills down our spines!
Following him are the Seattle based production duo, ODESZA, with their slow burning, clap heavy scorcher. The bass is heavy and resounding with this one except with subtle downshifts in the beat that allow for some breathing room. Next up is Louisville favorite AMTRAC with a strong driving chord build up that culminates in a lush dance infused display that will have you going strong for hours!
Oslo’s very own Lido slows the tempo way down to provide a brooding future soul take on the popular track. And last up is TÂCHES with a slow and steady melody that will sear itself into your brain with those layered chord medleys.
