Years and Years – “Desire (Zac Samuel Remix)”
There’s a quiet storm brewing in Brighton that goes by the name of Zac Samuel. Earlier this year he released a couple of remixes for some big tracks: one is Kiesza’s “Hideaway” and, his most popular remix, Karen Harding’s “Say Something.” The latter has racked up over 1 million plays on soundcloud and yet his name is relatively unknown. It’s hard to believe with these stunning remixes under his belt. But we digress, what we really want to focus on is his stellar new remix for Years and Years’ “Desire.”
Zac mentions that his influences reside in early 2000’s UK dance pioneers and the construction of this remix really reflects those influences. A solid vocal lead house track that builds in all the right places and peaks that take you back to crowded warehouse dance floors. Epic and anthemic dance grooves that give you the urge to get naughty. Yeah. This is right up our alley.
