Tommy Jacob – “Project 001”

At a time when it’s way too easy to just skip ahead to the climax of a track, it’s great to see artists emerging that remind us that music should be enjoyed patiently and thoroughly. Roche Musique‘s latest signee, Tommy Jacob, dropped his debut album on Friday called ‘Project 001.’ Earlier in March we got a taste of the album with a beautifully stylized short film that runs a little over 11 minutes long and incorporates six of the eight tracks on the album.
His sound is dark, melancholic, emotive and captivating with tinges of R&B and soul. And to pair those cinematic tracks with visuals is a great way to have people sit and enjoy the music completely. It’s a trend that definitely makes an impact, take The Blaze for example with their pairing of deeply emotive videos with euphoric house. The result is something that lingers in the memory forever.
