The Villars – “The Signal EP”
Deep in the heart of St. Petersburg, Russia comes a promising new producer named Rodion Lapin, also known as The Villars. The French imprint known as purveyors of “funk disco heaven”, On The Fruit, have gotten their hands on Rodion’s brand spanking new EP titled ‘The Signal’. The EP comes with three exquisite pieces of surging progressive house along with three killer remixes from Broke One, Pat Lok and Paradisko.
The title track comes with vocal aide from Brado and rocks a steady intro build up that picks up at the 1:40 mark with tech tinged club groove. Pat Lok gives a “dark dub” interpretation of “Signal” with throbbing, deep bass stabs. Paradisko also takes a stab at the title track with a sexy dark electro rendition.
