The Hasbeens – “Maybe (The Twelves Remix)”
Vocoder vocals can either turn out great or be really cheesy. Fortunately, The Twelves are wizards at handling a composition and they definitely took the club tipped “Maybe” from The Hasbeens and rounded out the edges to form a smooth retro electro ride. This remix is strongly reminiscent of 90s electro funk with beautiful melodic highlights rooted in disco. It’s a slow burner that should be enjoyed with that special someone on the dance floor. Just enough oomph to get you through until the weekend.
