Tegan And Sara – “I Was A Fool (Basement Love Bootleg)”
We love stumbling on intoxicating bootlegs. This one comes from Toronto via the handy work of Basement Love, a.k.a Jacob Hipel. The slow house/nu disco producer puts his stamp on the uber-popular song, “I Was A Fool” by twin songbirds Tegan And Sara. The bass coming off this track is just phenomenal and the reverberating chord stabs paired with a low, funky bassline are pure aural gold. This really should be an official remix because it is on point. The mix plays off and with the vocals perfectly and we are kind of getting a tinge of French touch from it that is slaying us. Listen for yourselves and see exactly what we mean.
