Sister City Limited 001
There’s a new imprint on the scene. They go by the name Sister City and are comprised of Eprom, Hej Fund and Dean Grenier. The trio of producers got the label off on the right foot with a relentless tech heavy EP last month. It contains two highly addictive and destructive techno/tech house with the collaborative efforts of Grenier, Max Ulis and Sergio Levels. The first track by Grenier and Ulis features and slightly tribal beat with constant cymbal claps adding a spacious aura. It’s deliberate and calculated with a solid bassline built for peak hour sweaty dance floor sessions. The second track “Hard Water” by Grenier and Levels brings a slightly more melodic house groove that acts a lot like the contradictions in the name, harsh and sporadic tech elements are juxtaposed with fluid melodies to create a staple anthem for underground dance floors.
