Satin Jackets – “Foreign Affair EP”
Yesterday saw the release of the Foreign Affair EP by German duo Satin Jackets. Everything, from the artwork to the music, carries an inescapable sun-drenched heartfelt vibe. The first track is titled “Sunrise In Paradise” and just as the title suggests it evokes a feeling of a dreamy, warm, lush sunrise. A slow, contained synth melody flows effortlessly with uplifting vocals. Next up is “Gelee Royale” with a cool and collected build up/intro leading into a soulful nu disco tinged groove meant to be enjoyed with a significant other with a slow-dance. And finally we have a gem called “Fall Apart”, a brooding and delicate track with stunning harmony made even more enjoyable with the vocals of Patrick Baker.
