Satin Jackets feat. David Harks – “Northern Lights”
With the warm weather still going strong, we’ve been in search of those quintessential summer playlist tracks that are sure to set the mood at any party. Satin Jackets is always a go-to when summer comes around and with the new tracks he’s been putting out lately we haven’t had any shortages. His latest gem is titled “Northern Lights” and this time he teams up with Berlin based British vocalist and songwriter David Harks. Here’s a bit of context for the origins of the single:
“Following a recent trip to Norway to work with fellow Eskimo artists Atella and Cavego, Tim was moved to try and capture some of his experiences there in musical form. “After experiencing a world known for its Northern Lights, I wanted to take that concept and run with it, asking myself how we could reflect this phenomena in music,” Tim explains. “Despite a busy schedule, I couldn’t help but take a day off and go on a trip exploring the country and the depths and beauty of one of the Fjords in the area. It was absolutely breath-taking.”
And he definitely succeeded because this track has a stunning effervescent energy about it that is super uplifting and feel-good. Satin Jackets totally hit the nail on the head with this gem. Stream after the jump.
