PREMIERE: JEĀN CLĀUDE – “Page (Live Session)”
For those of you have followed us since the beginning, you know we rarely do this (if ever) – post an acoustic version of anything. While we’re primarily an electronic music blog, sometimes we come across something so special that we can’t pass it up. Multifaceted LA based song writer and solo artist Jean Claude has been silently working on his debut EP for some time now, and he’s shared with us one of his latest works. It’s a live session for a song he describes as:
“‘Page’ is a very special song to me which is why I chose to film a very rare live acoustic session of the song with Scotty Vance (The New Electric Sound). It discusses the battle gays face when coming out the closet. I wrote it after my dear friend Page Ruth came out as a lesbian via Instagram earlier this year. We recorded this stripped version using an EV-646 made famous by Jim Morrison & Scotty’s baby grand. Studio (electronic) version will be out this fall.”
Hope this leaves you as mesmerized as it’s left us… just simply wanting more.
