Pacific State – “1990 (Original Mix)”
This is one of the most exciting projects to come out this year. It’s a new duo going by the name Pacific State who are fascinated by rave and acid house from the late eighties and early nineties. The Parisian duo is composed of the French don Laurent ASH, a.k.a Lifelike, and UK born Neil Curtis. Their debut EP is dropping via Lifelike’s new sub-label House Science on Friday, June 9th. For now you can stream the title track, “1990.” Get a taste of technically vintage music production including: “real drum machines Roland TR-909/808, TB-303 Bassliners, a bunch of Akai S950 samplers, and of course the venerable Atari ST computer.” This is the facelift the global dance scene needs.
