LEGS – “Top Of The World”
What do you call a five-man band pumping out ultra funky nu disco, indie dance and retro electro vibes? You call them LEGS. And though this Brooklyn based ensemble has only two years on the scene, they have already created waves in all the right places. The blogosphere went off last year with their debut self-titled EP from last year and for good reason too. Right when you hear their beautiful instrumentals in action you can’t help but get up and get down.
Take their latest single “Top Of The World” for instance, it evokes a keen sense of feel-good nostalgia with addictive guitar riffs and soft-spoken yet powerful vocals. The instrumentals are really rad because we hear hints of funk, disco, jazz, rock, pop and ultimately the groove just reads as something completely new and fresh especially when they get to the chorus with that uplifting melody. Keep an ear out for their forthcoming album Altitud, but for now let them take you to that special place with “Top Of The World.”
