One of the most consistent and impressive producers over the last few years for us has to be Lane 8. We can always look to him for quality music. Everything is calculated and passionate and totally comes through in each track. We’ve been on his trail for quite some time now so when we heard a couple of days ago that he was putting out a debut album naturally we were overwhelmed with excitement.
And who better to put out the album than one of our favorite labels Anjunadeep! The release will be called ‘Rise’ and will be 11 tracks of pure, unadulterated deep house. The first taste of the album is titled “Ghost” and features the familiar signature vocals from Patrick Baker. Anytime these two collaborate the resulting track is utter aural gold. “Ghost” is a deep, resounding burner with rich emotive tones and melancholic vocals. It taps into that euphoric ecstasy you feel when music hits all the right spots. Really, really great stuff to come from Lane 8 on this album.
