Kele Okereke- “Coasting”
Here goes the latest from Bloc Party frontman, Kele Okereke, and his solo side project. This new single is dubbed “Coasting” and it marks the second single off his upcoming album Trick which will drop on October 13th. It really couldn’t have a better title because it describes the overall feel of the track. Resounding, low end bass ebbs and flows in between a shuffling, glitchy beat. And then the entire beat is engulfed in expansive atmospheric tones coupled with his angelic vocals. The track’s vibe is one of lush emotive overtones, stellar atmospherics and engaging vocals. Here is what Kele had to say about the track:
“Coasting is one of the tracks I’m most proud of on the record. It’s the story about the first moments of a relationship, when there is no pressure and no demands.”
