Huxley – “I Want You (Original + Youandewan Version)”
AUS is getting ready to drop a banger on us from the label’s own golden boy Huxley! The single is titled “I Want You” and it is ripped off his upcoming Blurred LP which will see the light of day on October 20th. Back in July we were completely hypnotized by Huxley’s The Machine EP and we weren’t quite sure how he was going to top that release, but we knew he was up for the challenge. This highly anticipated LP gets the best possible introduction with “I Want You”.
It’s a slow burning, grimy deep house dream complete with cinematic and spatial overtones surrounding exceptional vocals while a thick and reverberating bassline keeps everything flowing smoothly. The breakdown into soft and airy piano melodies at the end delivers the final blow. The single is also accompanied by a remix from AUS artist, Youandewan, who sculpts “smooth musical transitions and subtle dubbing techniques that form an engagingly delicate deep house cut.” Stream both versions down below.
