GusGus – “Airwaves (Tsepo Remix)”
Iceland’s veteran foursome, GusGus, has been going strong since 94. The band released a brand new single this year titled “Airwaves” which was put up for a remix competition with Beatport. The winners have all been chosen and one of the actual commissioned remixes comes from Dutch upstart Tsepo. This relatively new producer has been setting dance floors ablaze in clubs all over Amsterdam.
His rendition of “Airwaves” ties in beautifully interweaved synths with a steady drum beat. The tempo is slow and progressive with chilling vocals. Picture yourselves swaying to this track on a crowded dance floor. If this is what clubs in Amsterdam are playing then we definitely need to make a trip out there one of these days!
