Avalon Emerson – “Let Me Love & Steal EP”
Spring Theory Records‘ has dropped a scorching dance EP from Avalon Emerson. Her new ‘Let Me Love & Steal’ EP is built with crowded underground warehouse parties in mind. She recently made the move to Berlin from San Francisco and her sound seems to have evolved with the late night club scene in Germany. We still get traces of her signature style with ambiguous samples and vocals and, of course, a hard-hitting house core.
The title track delivers a bubbling and sporadic laser fx with a solid pulsating bass and that euphoric sample daze. Up next is the Triple Scorpio remix that delivers a darker and slightly more menacing vibe. The techno energy flares up in this rendition making it perfect for hypnotizing the crowd. On the flip side we have two different versions of “Honest Gangster” with the original being a grimy tech infused ride with a really rad vocal additive that inadvertently stemmed from a voicemail left by Spring Theory’s label head Guillaume Galuz. And rounding out the EP is the ‘arpapella’ version of “Honest Gangster” that ” lets the arp float freely through a healthy amount of spaced-out and trippy delay.” Enjoy all four tracks below.
