AKASE – “Rust (Midland Dub)”
We love stumbling onto new talent. This duo is composed of producer Harry Agius (a.k.a Midland) and vocalist Robbie Redway. Together they make up the collaborative project known as AKASE. They are signed to !K7 Records and last month they shared their debut track known to the world as “Rust.” The original track is an exploration into sounds that deviate from the dance floor and the result is something deep, lush and emotive. A couple of days ago the duo released their own remix for the single tipped for the dance floor. Hard-hitting bass stabs ease you in as this slow burner continues to build eventually dropping into a full on tech house heavy stunner. This is sultry peak hour dance floor fodder at its finest.
