U – “Our Place (Official Music Video)”
We love stumbling onto something completely fresh and original. Up above you’ll find a new music video from London producer U. His carefully calculated take on house has us in a daze. Everything from his name, to his sound, to his visuals, to his social media presence is enigmatic and really f*cking intriguing.
Above everything else is this distinct sound. “Our Place” is a perfect example of that same slow listening concept that Fort Romeau employs, but with different sounds altogether. The constant build and progression in the track keep you hooked and sort of in a patient daze throughout all 7 plus minutes of the track. It’s the subtle ways in which he constructs a beat and rhythm that have us completely enthralled with this track. What might seem like noise at first molds into something more complex and beautiful. The forthcoming ‘We Decide Who Comes In’ EP drops June 29th via Technicolour (a Ninja Tune imprint).
