Tributes to Frankie Knuckles
Yesterday the news hit that the legendary Frankie Knuckles, a.k.a The Godfather of House, passed away. Given that he was one of the pioneer/driving forces in house music, it is only natural that dance music lovers are paying their respects via tributes on soundcloud. Below you will find three of some of our favorite tributes. What better way to remember this legend than to bump some outstanding house tracks made by Frankie and his dedication to making people get lost in the music.

First up is a rad mixtape by Dimitri from Paris, who put together a collection of some of his favorite tracks from Frankie. Take a ride down memory lane and above all else, make sure you dance it up.

Next is a mash up from Mexican born and London based Betoko. Beto blends his track “Sky In Your Eyes“ and Frankie’s popular “Your Love” tune. The result is a resounding and engulfing house treat.

And finally who could resist that off-the-chain remix from Frankie Knuckles for Hercules & Love Affair‘s “Blind”. DFA posted this track back up on their soundcloud page. It was originally released back in 2008, but it still burns strong just like all of his music.
