Kalyde – “Switch EP”
We love finding banging releases on our feed. This next one is a forthcoming EP from Kerry Chandler’s MadTech Records. And who, you might ask, is this exciting talent opening up the year for MadTech releases? Well you can go ahead and refer to him as Kalyde. This young London producer is kicking off 2015 the right way.
He is definitely going to be turning some heads with these three tracks. The title track, “Switch,” sets the mood perfectly with a propulsive percussion onslaught topped with altered vocal cuts. The next single is called “OB” and it comes with an erratic melody flanked by gritty bass stabs and dreamy synth builds. And finally on remix duty we have the undeniably talented Applebottom who stirs things up a bit with a melodic, dark and acid-tinged rendition.
