Childish Gambino – “Terrified (Zikomo Remix)”
The third studio album to come from Donald Glover, a.k.a Childish Gambino, was a surprising shift away from rapping to a more genre-defying, psych rock, soulful, experimental, tribal drum amalgamation. The album is actually really good and one of the tracks off ‘Awaken, My Love’ has been remixed by Long Beach based producer Zikomo. The talented young producer takes on the track “Terrified” which is also one our favorites off the release. The original is slow burning, minimal neo-soul with sexy guitar licks. Zikomo builds on the hints of the original beat and transforms it into a melodic house cut with plenty of oomph.
