Appleblim & Komon – “Motion Blur”
AUS Music continues to pump out a steady stream of jams on jams. Their latest comes in the form of a four track assault from AUS regulars Appleblim & Komon (pictured above). The London based label recently shared the title track, “Motion Blur”, and it has our heads spinning in the best way possible. “Motion Blur” lives up to its name by providing a richly textured track that starts off with a broken and sporadic beat that gives a taste of all the disparate elements. The linear melody is spliced and experimented with while still holding on to our attention. Then the filtered pads float in as the beat comes in with a really rad melody that still has some glitchy/broken pieces adding to the overall charm. Experimental, fresh, cool, groovy and definitely one we will be listening to over and over again.
