The xx – “Crystalised (Nogue, Guerreros Mix)”
We’ve only come across a couple of remixes of The xx that we liked. This next one popped up a couple of weeks ago and it comes from Brazilian producer/DJ Nogue as he teams up with his buddy Guerreros to put their spin on this stellar track. The group’s self titled album is still one of our favorites of all time. Everything from the artwork to the instrumentals to the vocals was top notch, so we definitely approached this remix with caution given our bias towards the original. And we were pleasantly surprised. It’s rhythmic and maintains a lot of the original instrumentals while injecting a rad electronic dance groove with a mid-tempo speed. Check it out after the jump.
