The Best Tracks of 2014
We launched International House of Sound almost exactly a year ago and what a pleasure it has been to share with you some of the most phenomenal and monumental electronic gems of the year. We strive to filter out some of the best options for peak hours, pool lounging or driving.
The end of 2014 is finally here and we’ve put a list of the best tracks in no particular order. The list contains 30 of our favorite originals and remixes for you to get lost in. We figure it’s great to find them all in one place. Don’t forget to share them your loved ones. We can all use new music and inspiration from time to time. Catch them after the jump.
Le Youth - “Feel Your Love (Feat. Javeon)”
Le Youth dropped this banger in the heat of summer and it instantly became a dance floor scorcher. Javeon’s vocals couldn’t fit any better than this.
Todd Terje – “Inspector Noise”
Todd Terje delivered one of the best albums this year. This one stuck out: pure feel good.
Flight Facilities – “Two Bodies (Feat. Emma Louise)”
We’ve been waiting for this full length for a few years now. FF introduced it with this emotional masterpiece. The music video is even better.
The Knocks – “Classic (Feat. Powers)”
Disco continues calling the shots. The Knocks have been on a roll since their inception and we’re not mad about it.
BEA – “Safe Ground” We can’t wait to see what 2015 brings for this amazing artist. Pure pop bliss. Just listen.

This is the jam.
Vic Mensa – “Down On My Luck”
Vic Mensa‘s polished house debut made us pay attention. Lots of attention.
Les Sins – Bellow
This one was considerably one of the best tracks on the new album.
Lana Del Rey – “West Coast (MK Remix)”
MK reinvents Lana’s “West Coast” and leaves it almost unrecognizable. What a beat.
Andy Stott – “Violence”
This is one of those tracks that catches your attention without any warning.
Yelle – “Complètement Fou”
Yelle returned this year with her best release yet. We can’t get enough.
Darius – “Romance EP”
This EP dropped early this year and left us completely floored. All five tracks are worth a couple dozen plays in one sitting.
The Soundmen – “Bermuda ft. Ava Lan (Templeton Remix)”
Templeton clearly has an ear for peak-hour rump shaking beats that flow through the track’s core.
Russ Chimes – “Sula EP”
Chimes has been a roll this year with hit after hit. This EP made a huge impact on us this year. Keep it close.
Lane 8 – “Every Night”
It’s a difficult task to try and narrow our Lane 8 selection to just one track because everything that he has put out is mesmerizing. This gem was revisited by Anjunadeep and got a full single release earlier this year.
5 Reasons – “Tales of Love (feat. Patrick Baker)”
Dany Kole – “Pictures EP”
This one made its way to us back in April from Moscow’s rising star Dany Kole. It was our first taste of his polished dance tinged soundwaves and we new right from then that he is one-to-watch this coming year.
Wunder Wunder – “Midnight Hours (Zimmer Remix)”
Another artist that made it extremely hard for us to narrow it down was Zimmer. This remix got a lot of mileage from us and for good reason too. Refresh your memory below.
Hercules & Love Affair – “I Try To Talk To You”
One of the standouts off Hercules & Love Affair‘s latest album ‘The Feast of The Broken Heart’ has to be this track. “I Try To Talk To You” delivers a poignant message through a melodic house beat. And it has a beautiful video to go with it.
TCTS – “Games (feat. K Stewart)”
If you’re in the mood to let loose and get down on the dance floor, then this is the track for you. This little banger hailed from London via the talented producer TCTS and siren K Stewart. Check out the entire ‘Games’ EP.
Emmanuelle Seigner – “You Think You’re A Man (Yuksek Remix)”
This stunning take on Emmanuelle Seigner’s “You Think You’re A Man” left quite an impression on our memory. Yuksek constructed something effortless, dreamy and captivating.
Ben Macklin – “It’s Over (feat. Emma Brammer)”
Ben Macklin came as a big surprise for us this year with this searing track. You really can’t ask for much more sex appeal than this.
Davidian – “What I Want Feat. Tiffany Juno (Panda Remix)”
Our favorite label Kitsuné Maison picked up Davidian this year and what a ride it has been.
Tove Lo – “High (Oliver Nelson Remix)”
This original is fairly depressing but this one is plain sexy.
Hayden James – “Something About You”
We know we just posted this one yesterday, but it was too good not to add to our list. Get into the NYE mood with this mesmerizing dance track.
Full Crate x Mar – “Nobody Else + Man x Woman”
This Amsterdam based vocalist/producer duo really made a huge blip on our radar this year with two irresistibly sexy tracks. Listen to both tracks below. We can’t wait to hear what they have in store for the new year.
Just Kiddin – “Thinking About It”
This gem still holds a special place for us as one of the best soundtracks for a night out. It always manages to kick the party up a notch and set the dance floor ablaze.
Doss – “The Way I Feel (Recycle Culture’s Slow Emotion Reel)
Here’s a dose of Doss’ sultry whispering vocals with a sexy little bassline that leads into a truly mesmerizing melody.
