Tensnake – “Desire”
The folks over at THUMP premiered a brand spanking new jam from London sound designer Tensnake. The melody in this track is polished and deliberate with every element included. The level of thought and intention behind each sound really shines through. Here is what Tensnake had to say about the track:
“When I recorded the idea for the the track I was traveling in Malaysia. My hotel was pretty close to a minaret and hearing the muezzin reminded me of some old repetitive mesmerizing chants. This experience and location influenced this track and the whole EP. I like to travel to places with my music.”
The chant in the track is meditative and hypnotic. And if his mission is to take us to other lands with his music, I’d say it’s a mission accomplished made perfectly clear with this track.
