Swim – “We Are Young”
There’s a new face hitting the scene going by the moniker Swim with some lush and emotive soundwaves that strike a nostalgic chord in all of us. This up-and-comer hails from Vancouver where he garners inspiration from the sounds of the 80’s and 90’s, gives them a soulful revamp and gives way to something that is melodically potent. For his debut track he presents “We Are Young” (which premiered over with the folks at Caveman Sound earlier today) a stunning sun-kissed gem that resides comfortably somewhere between house and nu disco and carries vocals from Pat Benatar’s “Love Is A Battlefield.” What a way to kick things off!
