Slow Knights – “Candy Sugar Rush (ColeCo Remix)”
Duncan Grewar and Sean Koch, the faces behind the Toronto based production duo ColeCo, are at it once again with a sizzling remix of Slow Knights‘ “Candy Sugar Rush.” A couple weeks ago we heard an energetic take on the track from Louis La Roche and now ColeCo puts their deep house spin the original banger. It’s soft and fluid with inflections in all the right spots. Those subdued piano led builds completely melt in your ear. And once the track gets of the 2 minute mark, the full force of ColeCo’s groove comes into effect. The vocals are incorporated beautifully into the remix, as well as some of the more prominent instrumental elements of the original. That flute, for example, adds an extra oomph to the track.
