Coming at you from Palm Springs is a promising new DJ and producer known as Alex Harrington. This young burgeoning talent is looking to build a name for himself with a sumptuous house vibe that is clearly 90s inspired while being deeply entrenched on the contemporary dance pulse. His classic four on the floor grooves are flanked by jazzy, funky and disco tinged instrumentals.
Up first on the four-track release is the title track which harbors shimmering piano chords and a funky little groove that was built for the dance floor. “Minor Things” is one that harkens to classic 90s house that evolved from the disco era. Just wait until you get an earful of that bassline! Next up is “Midnight” with spacious synths arpeggiating throughout, solid piano and cymbal combo and a deep bassline. Finally, rounding out the release is “Odyssey” with a strong jazzy pulse, improvised and seductive, always holding on to the energy of the night.
