Who would have thought that the fun-loving, upbeat pop sounds of Phoenix would collide with the dark, evil techno of Gesaffelstein. We have been big fans of Gesaffelstein here at IHOS for some time now. There is a big spot in our hearts for that dark, brooding low end grit that he brings to his productions. In this remix, “Bankrupt!” is put through a grinder and the only thing left alive are the charming vocals and some ghost-like whispers of the original melody. And those amazing breaks that have a creepy and menacing aural presence are nasty good. You’ve never heard Phoenix like this and we are loving it!
