Perdido Key – “Lost Is Found EP”
From deep in NYC’s underground dance floors comes a sweat inducing EP titled ‘Lost Is Found.’ It comes from the enigmatic duo Perdido Key who enjoy “crafting analog heavy left-field house and techno designed for sweaty basements and dark warehouses.” That signature analog approach to house and techno is exactly what keeps us coming back for more. Five scintillating tracks: three are originals from the duo and the other two are chilling renditions from London producers William Earl and Earl Grey.
The title track is a five and a half minute long joyride packed with mind-numbing bass stabs and a hearty helping of spacious synths. “Rat Acid” comes in with a grimy electronic bassline and trippy analog additives while “I’m Free” rocks a rad shuffling dance groove. William Earl provides his slow and slinky, electro tinged rendition of “I’m Free.” Earl Grey takes on “Lost Is Found” and the result is something both majestic and low end with gorgeous atmospheric moments. This EP is built for sweaty, crowded, underground dance floor consumption.
