Pat Lok – “Could Be Mine feat. Patrick Baker (Remix EP)”
Back in June, Vancouver based stalwart Pat Lok dropped a bomb on our speakers titled “Could Be Mine.” It was also the first collaboration between the producer and one of our favorite vocalists/producers, Patrick Baker. Patrick’s ultra silky vocals paired with Pat Lok’s out-of-this-world beats made for one unforgettable tune. And now Pat Lok’s gem resurfaces with a brand new remix EP containing 3 different versions of the original from the likes of Wantigga, Chores and Red Milk.
The first of the three remixes hails from the Netherlands via Jonathan Tan, a.k.a Wantigga. Jonathan drenches the track with a seductive driving synth and pad melody lead by Mr. Baker’s vocals. Chores, “the fuzzy pop band from Melbourne,” injects the track with energetic and sporadic synth stabs laced with a steady drum pattern. And finally Red Milk rounds out the release with an slinky, slightly trap, rendition that breaks up the original melody and transforms it into something completely fresh.
