It’s been a while since we last checked on Golden Features and it looks like we came at the right time because he just shared a new single about a week ago. And he’s giving us waves of nostalgia harkening to a blend of early Digitalism with a bit of Justice and maybe a little bit of The Presets. The levels on this track keep you on your toes. It’s melodic and harsh and meant for festival season road trips. Stream “Falling Out“ after the jump!
A day as beautiful as this calls for some infectious disco grooves. Russ Chimes served up this hearty helping a few weeks back. It’s a remix (or ‘re-groove’ as Russ calls it) for Justin Timberlake‘s “Higher Higher” lifted off his latest album ‘Man of the Woods.’ Russ gives the track a serious tempo boost while incorporating the instrumentals from the original along with some of his own additives. The bassline is much more potent in this version and definitely geared towards the dance floor. It’s giving off a bit of nostalgia with some glorious, euphoric disco vibes. We’re hooked.

Here’s an infectious bit of sun-kissed euphoria from Poolclvb. He teams up with the etcetc crew once again to give us “Freefall.” A melodic and sultry dance floor cut that melts in your ears thanks to gorgeous vocals from alt-pop songstress Doolie. It’s going to be a potent anthem to have on hand at sunset! This gem has festival season crooner written all over it. He even collaborated with Melbourne based artist Carla McRae on the artwork. He has a clear vision for his projects and we’re totally here for it all.
Here goes another impressive cut from L.A based up-and-comer Never Dull. This one is called “Jazzin’ Disco” and it provides all the jazzy dance floor nourishment we need for the weekend ahead. The weather is warming up a bit and now it’s starting to feel like Spring. And that means everyone is going to be making their way to the coast. So why not have a good musical arsenal at your disposal? The track is lifted from his forthcoming EP for Moment Cinetique. The best part is that it’s a free download so snatch it up folks! Get lost in that dynamic swing and melodic funk!
Millionyoung‘s new single gives us all the pampering we’ve been craving. The song is called “Together” and it’s taken from his looming LP ‘Rare Form’ coming out April 13th. And a few days ago the video for the track dropped and it is a spa themed psychedelic dream that leaves you feeling as rejuvenated as the woman in the video. They make great use of aquatic motifs to enhance the mellifluous bliss in both the instrumentals and his vocal melodies. This track is guaranteed to put you in a great mood anytime and anywhere.
Sondrio continues on this hot streak with a brand new EP dropping this Friday, March 30th! It’s the fourth installment of his “Night Music“ series that has been serving up some of our favorite peak hour cuts of the last few months. This next one is lifted from the forthcoming EP and it’s called “Song For Kamal.” He also shared a few words on the meaning and message behind the track:
“‘Song For Kamal’ is about yearning for the person you love. I wanted to evoke the feeling of when you’re away and it’s all you can think about.”
The tempo carries some power, but the overall melody melts in your ear and definitely gives us beautiful melancholia that tugs at the heart strings. It hurts so damn good that we can’t get it out of our minds.
We’re dying to see Amtrac and Durante live because they definitely know how to put on a great show. The latest single from Durante is out now via the Openers imprint. It’s called “Orbital Frame“ and it is giving us all the big room energy we’ve been craving. It’s a solid 8 minute long ride complete with propulsive percussion treatment, melodic synths and a glorious climax once it hits the 4 minute mark. After that mark we’re taken into dark, deep electronic territory that just nourishes the soul. Stream it after the jump!
We’re currently binging on this brand new remix coming at us from the PUZL Records crew. The remix is for Leo Islo‘s “Lush Life“ brought to you by talented up-and-comer, Damon Steele. It’s making us reminisce on past loves with a sultry groove with a bit of melancholia. It’s makes us dream of drives down the coast with the top down and a cool breeze kissing the skin. Or also a warm summer night on an open air dance floor where you make eye contact with someone across the room. Damon successfully enhances the romance from the original giving us something soulful, resonant and relatable. Festival season anthem all the way!

Anjunadeep has introduced us to another artist to add to our ones-to-watch list. They’re gearing up to drop a mini LP titled ‘Static‘ composed by Swedish producer and musician, boerd. A few weeks ago they shared the first single off the LP called “Blind” and shared a stunning video to go along with it. Much like the video, “Blind,” evokes a melancholic beauty that’s as romantic as it is heartbreaking.
The video takes us through a day in the life of a couple that sees its ups and downs, but still remains raw and relatable. It’s interesting that for his day job he is an active member of a Swedish opera house orchestra because his songs are beautifully composed with great structure and resolution. Yesterday the label shared the second single from the release called “Fragment II” and we are sucked back into his engulfing ambient soundscapes this time with the help of some impactful and piercing piano chords. Perfect for a rainy day.
Stream both singles after the jump and keep an ear out for the release on April 6th!
Zimmer welcomes the new season with a fresh installment of his mixtape series. The goal for his mixtapes has always been to shed some light on his broad tastes in electronic music as well as bring you the latest music. He’s shared that the format to his tapes will be changing and instead of coming out almost every month they’ll now be coming out four times a year (one for each season). So it boils down to quality versus quantity and we’re always here for the former. This new tape is called “Cascina“ and it kicks off nice and smooth picking up steam throughout. He also promised new originals are on the way. For now, stream “Cascina” and get in the mood.
