Back in May of last year, Pacific Coliseum, dropped his stellar four track EP titled ‘Ocean City’ and in March of this year he dropped a remix package featuring the likes of Seb Wildblood, Manuel Darquart and D. Tiffany. We were already hooked on the package and then yesterday he shared a brand new remix from Pool Boy, also known as Cyril Hahn. Pool Boy takes us on a groovy, synth laden ride to the milky way and back. The remixes are out now via the Coastal Haze crew and you can grab your copy here.
It’s always a risky move to rework/remix a classic dance track, but Belgian producer NightFunk has the magic touch. He remixes the one and only “Pump Up The Jam” by Technotronic and the result is a total dance floor burner. He boosts the tempo, changes up the groove, gives it a sexy bassline and uses the iconic vocals beautifully. So we really can’t hate on this because it’s a total bop. You know what to do after the jump!
Nothing beats that twang of potent bassline. It can really make of break a track and in this case it’s the star of the show. New Zealand’s La Felix shared a glossy summer remix of his track “Too Many Lies” from NYC purveyor of all this funk and disco, LEFTI. To combination of both their sounds results in total aural bliss. Take it for a spin down below.

The debut EP from our beloved L.A based crooner, Nyiko, is out in the world today via Trailing Twelve Records and we’re swooning. It’s called ‘Crush’ and it was put together through the joint efforts of Nyiko and Boston based producer The White Electric. Together they bring six beautifully heartfelt tracks that span the genres of future house, R&B, electronic pop and synth pop. It tells the relatable story of online dating, initial encounters, connections that prove to be more than fleeting, diving into those feelings and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. This EP has been brewing for about 2 years and you can grab your copy here!
JSquared‘s latest rework is giving us life. He puts his soulful touch on Jamiroquai‘s 1996 anthem “Cosmic Girl” and our “heart’s in zero gravity.” He gives the tempo a boost, adds a few more strings for that disco drama and just a pinch more funk to send us over the moon. He brings the best classic disco flavors into modern production for a killer combination. You’ll definitely want to blast this at your next party (preferably somewhere beachside, perhaps on a rooftop). Wherever you play this rework just make sure you have plenty of room to glide across the dance floor because it’ll make you want to put on a show. Grab the free download here!
This one is definitely getting added to our favorites of the year. Not only does the name keep us thinking of summer all year round, but his sound seems to just boost endorphins and wash away all our troubles. Poolside dropped this gorgeous track a few days ago and to top it off he also collaborated with Panama on this gem. It goes down like a refreshing summer cocktail with Panama’s vocals caressing your eardrums and a daytime disco melody that nourishes the mind and body. “Can’t Stop Your Lovin’” is out now and you can get your hands on it here. You can also catch the full stream after the jump!
W&O Street Tracks delivers a stellar new EP from one of L.A’s finest, Durante. The burgeoning producer unleashes two new house cuts that both beat the heat and turn it up all at once. First up is his collab with PaulWetz on the title track, “Evaporate,” as they lay down sultry vocals on a lazy disco groove that’s great for poolside lounging. On the flip side we have “Once Again” with a low end chugging house groove geared for club consumption.
We have a new album to look forward to for next month! It’s the latest to come from The Juan Maclean and the DFA Records crew. This one is dubbed ‘The Brighter The Light’ and it’s available to pre-order here. The release will be a compilation LP “featuring remastered and edited versions of their 12″s on DFA since 2012, along with a couple of new unreleased tracks.” Check out this taste from the album called “Get Down (With My Love)” as Nancy Whang jumps in to lay down her signature vocals to this euphoric dance floor anthem.
Here goes another one for that quintessential summer playlist. It’s the latest from the one-and-only Purple Disco Machine called “Emotion.” This funk filled disco house banger is definitely going to be a staple on the global dance floor. It has classic disco elements mixed with dynamic bass laden grooves and even a few strings. It’s a total mood boost that will help you forget about the heat and concentrate on letting it all go under the disco lights. Grab your copy of the full EP here.

The fourth single off Friendly Fires‘ forthcoming new album is out and this album couldn’t come soon enough. This track is called “Run The Wild Flowers.” It’s a beautiful, emotive electro pop gem that fills the room with Ed Macfarlane’s vocals. We’re definitely looking forward to hearing this track live when they go on tour in the U.S. They also shared a visualizer for the song which you’ll be able to find after the jump. ‘Inflorescent‘ drops August 16th via Polydor.
