Moodymann – Lyk U Use 2 (feat. Andrés)
Detroit based techno/house legend Kenny Dixon aka Moodymann is back at it again with a fresh new full length. The self-titled release stays true to the funk-soul nature of his sound while exploring more washy sonic textures and industrial tempos. “Lyk U Use 2” displays his uncanny ability to create that modern vintage sound we drool over, combining groovy bass lines and funky stabs with a sort of drum & bass subtlety. The track features the vocalist Andrés, who is somewhat unknown and may very well be Moody himself. Regardless, cheers to Kenny for the new release and always keeping thing’s moody.
