Mickey – “In The Mix #5”
Mickey is a maniac with his recent mix series and has consistently dropped one hot mix after another! This 5th installment of his series is overflowing with samples that will get your heart racing and perspiration running. He’s been focused and prolific this past year, currently touring all over Australia at various events like the Summer Series at revolver in Melbourne. We here at IHOS are addicted to his sound. Mickey described his creative process in producing that sound as:
The first impulse the track gives, is the most important one. From there I can decide it becomes a proper Mickey track or not. When I get excited about a groove or a harmony, I turn on my analog gear, and start to jam for hours with my synths, guitar, bass, and drum computer to find the right ingredients. Then I save a draft on my phone, listen to it again the day after, and decide from there how to get the track done.
