Julio Bashmore – “Simple Love Feat J’Danna”

Growing up in Bristol, an industrial city in England, Julio Bashmore was surrounded in the midst of drum and bass music. During this time, he was able to foster his own style of music through his thirst for house music. Instead of matching the low-frequencies and heavy drenched bass of Bristol, he went for a lighter and fresher approach to music production. Now, he and among other UK producers have placed their own spin on house music. His releases on the Dirtybird label show this special blend of American and European house music with spikes of disco, funk, and 80s pop. He has released the first track of his forthcoming LP featuring the ode to 90s RnB vocals of J’Danna. The  stratums of drum patterns and smoky chords all present a moody formation. The album is expected to drop in February of 2015 via Bashmore’s own Broadwalk label.
