Jacques Greene – “No Excuse”
The Montreal based rising talent that is Jacques Greene continues to drench our ears with new sounds. Take his latest single “No Excuse” as an example. The track begins with off-beat drum patterns surrounded by arpeggiating synths that eventually bring in that soulful R&B sound that is familiar and inviting. To counter the sweetness in the vocals he adds some slightly harsh industrial sounds, but without overdoing it and really creating a harmony that is all his own. Then at the 2 minute mark an orchestral, all encompassing layer is added that ties it all together. Let’s just say we are impressed.
This layered, abstract future bass track will be part of his Phantom Vibrate EP coming out on April 28th via LuckyMe Records.
