Igor Vicente – “Live at Mobilee Boat Party Zt Badboot Antwerp 08|31|2014”
Two weeks ago Mobilee records celebrated the end of summer 2014 by throwing several of Berlin’s best DJs onto Belgium’s iconic Badboot, bringing booze and barbecue and Antwerp youth, and seeing what happened. By all accounts it was an incredible—and incredibly picturesque—event. (Some of us here in Los Angeles looked wistfully on the photographs and sighed, “Maybe next year…”)
Fortunately for those of us who couldn’t afford the plane ticket to Antwerp, Igor Vicente has just released an hour-and-forty-five minute long set over on Soundcloud, and we couldn’t be more excited. Although Igor Vicente first garnered attention in the early 2010s for his simple (but not bland) brand of house and techno, his releases since then have showed surprising sophistication and longevity. We’re glad to see him still in full control of his powers (is it only four?) years later.
