Humons – “Spectra EP”
You can always count on Detroit to incubate really interesting sound designs. There’s a promising up-and-comer going by the alias Humons. He put out a stellar EP about three months back titled ‘Spectra’ and it’s filled with copious amounts of atmospheric electronics wrapped in house beats that work quite well on and off the dance floor. Five haunting and resonant tracks make up the release with one in particular that is a total standout for us. “Underneath” captures the vibe of the entire EP perfectly. The track is eerie and experimental with tinges of rock, house and electronica. Check out all five tracks after the jump.
