Ghosting – “One Summer [Spirited Away]”
This has to be one of our favorite moments of the night. Influential Melbourne record producer Andrei Eremin takes on a new project going by the moniker of Ghosting. And to kick off the new alias he takes on an ambitious debut project known as ‘Reimagining Miyazaki’ and the name alone had a vice grip on our attention. He’s taken his inspiration from the majestic and haunting soundtracks of Hayao Miyazaki’s iconic animated films and sampled each one in an instrumental mixtape that showcases the best parts of beat-making. The folks over at XLR8R got a hold of one of the tracks off the mixtape and it just happens to be his sample of one of our all time favorite movies ‘Spirited Away.’ It’s a whole new perspective on those iconic piano chords. We’re completely swooning over this. Check it out after the jump!
