George FitzGerald – “Full Circle (feat. Boxed In)”
Berlin based beat-smith George FitzGerald is looking to contend for a spot on our favorites list this year with this poignant and hypnotic new single. The track is called “Full Circle” and it features a subdued, yet lush and melodic beat topped by Boxed In‘s Oli Bayston on vocals. The lyrics speak of heartache and disappointment while the beat keeps everything boiling just above water.
It’s one of those tracks you would love to have accompanying you on a long walk home after dancing from dusk til dawn. The pop sensibilities of this track make for one catchy tune and that slow burning, pulsing rhythm translates extremely well to the dance floor. Somehow it captures that liminal, hazy bit of time when the city streets are completely abandoned.
