Erol Alkan – “Spectrum / Silver Echoes”
This one is for all you dance floor revelers looking for the perfect confection to get you through the extended weekend of festivities! Our beloved Erol Alkan returns with two mind-blowing originals that showcase different sides to Erol’s current approach to DJing. He created these two tracks with the idea in mind that they would fit effortlessly into his DJ sets and we’d say he definitely succeeded. The release is a double A-side with a double sided slip: one in full color for ‘Spectrum’ and the other in black and white for ‘Silver Echoes.’ Up first is ‘Spectrum’ with a glorious percussion laden track with layers on layers of pure, unadulterated electro. And ‘Silver Echoes’ closes it out with a melancholic touch that works beautifully with the pulsing reverb effect and just wait until you listen to the last two minutes of the track. Each one exudes its own vibe, but both equally amazing.
