Bambook – “Hearts & Roads EP”
Local record label, Culprit LA, unleashed a new EP today, as well as a new addition to their roster that comes in the form of a duo from Sweden that call themselves Bambook. The duo’s contribution to the label is titled “Hearts & Roads“ and it comes with some serious deep house vibes. Along with two original tracks there is also two reworks by Finnebassen and Kiki.
“Humble Hearts” kicks the EP off with a deep driving kick drum and snare melody with resounding atmospheric vocals. Their second original is dubbed “Narrow Road” and it’s a bit darker and comes with a brooding piano melody and melancholic vocal treatment. Kiki takes on “Narrow Road”, bringing down the pitch and adding a dissonant and broken beat. The Finnebassen remix is a definite standout with a progressive and textured groove that just gets better with every passing second.
