A Rainmaker – “The Call (Pakem Remix)”
I know some of you probably scoff at the fact that we’re an LA based blog and were consistently pumping out our fair share of Parisian music- so much so that we might as well drop the whole “Malibu” thing. The thing is, that there’s something called taste and somehow certain parts of the rest of the world were blessed with more of it (we only half kid). We know it’s not fair to give them all the credit. French House wouldn’t exist without Michael Jackson, but that’s besides the point. This one here’s a deep disco cut straight out of Français. The original track is from electronic pop trio A Rainmaker which has been transformed into a salacious number by fellow French producer Pakem – who’s moto is ironcally “Fuck a genre. If it’s good, it’s good -90’s child.” And we’re totally with that, because: listen.
